COMPANY OVERVIEW
Rocell Bathware Limited, is a result of the strategic expansion and diversification plans of the number one Ceramic & Porcelain flooring producer in Sri Lanka, Royal Ceramics Lanka Limited. With a Sri Lankan Rupee 1.8 billion (USD 18 million) investment. Rocell Bathware will manufacture high quality sanitaryware for both the Sri Lankan and international markets.
The organization is pitched to be a “first” in many areas; from being the first and only sanitaryware manufacturer in Sri Lanka, it has also been hailed as the one of the most modern and state-of-art production plants in Asia and one of the first plants in the Region to manufacture fire clay products.
With an annual rated production capacity of 250,000 pieces in the 1st stage and an increment capacity of up to 500,000 pieces in the 2nd stage, the plant will be equipped with state of the art technology and automated machinery to manufacture vitreous china and large format fire clay products, of the highest quality standard conforming to ISO norms. Products will be on par with that of any leading European manufacturer in terms of both design and quality.
Technical know-how and machinery for the plant is sourced from two of the world’s premier suppliers for the sanitaryware industry, namely, SACMI of Italy and UNIMAK of Turkey.
The organization will employ 190 personnel and have an estimated turnover of Sri Lankan Rupee 800 million in the first full year of operations. An estimated 80% of the production will be sold to the domestic market whilst a further 20% will be exported.
